I was thinking of applying for unit 22, and was hoping for any info concerning: is there an outfitter that offers a drop camp, is renting horses a possibility, also any basic hunting info concerning unit 22 would be great. I thought of other units, 30-32, 100, 111, and even 124 and 24, but for various reasons I have thought more seriously about unit 22. My goal is a 320 plus bull, and all of the info I have received about unit 100 is that there are a ton of elk, but the quality is way down - but if anyone has any input on any of these units, but specifically unit 100 please email me at [email protected], or PM me. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and would be kept confidential. Also, as everyone knows, I would not be able to get back to the unit due to the points system, so I obviously not be beating the bushes every year, so maybe that will help solicit help. Thanks in advance for any help.

Lower your standards about 30" and unit 100 is perfect.Lots of 260-300 class bulls with a few bigger.G&F claims high B/C ratios, but the quality sure isn't there like it once was.You could get lucky and find a bull over 320,but there have been few of those bulls killed over the past few years.Too many bull tags.Fun hunt though, and you will see lots of elk.
In my opinion, every one of those other units you mentioned would give you a better chance at the type of bull you are seeking.

I have hunted unit 22 and climbed to the top of Ferris mnt, I would say its not a good area for a drop camp, probably not so good for horses either.
