Unit 9-10 elk info

Hope to be getting a elk tag but not sure if 9 or 10 got 16 archery points and been in the Afgan and Iraq since 04. I will have a lot of time to scout plan on being there in Aug but want a starting point and a BIG BULL . I have done as much research as I can from a satellite maps and Internet info, I.m looking for as much as I can get and I want to DIY , that way I can always say I hunted and got that big bull by myself . I not saying guides are bad I just want to do it myself, I have the time and I and the will to get this done. I'm just looking for anything ,or place to make a camp,stand and hunt

I'm assuming you're talking about AZ? If so, go to the AZ forum and read the thread about accessing the Boquillas ranch in 10. It may change your mind.

Yes AZ abound I have read that as well, call the Azgf and they said nothing had been signed yet but things have been talked about, I think 9 sounds good and there is some big ones there, thanks for the input

Yes headin to 9 so are you a Az native or non-res. I hope to get some scouting in before the season. So you ever hunted this unit my first time and 1st hunt in a long time.
