I had my father in law apply for this hunt. We want to camp near Leavenworth, and hunt the last 2 days of the permit season which is Oct 27-28. This may be Darrels last year due to poor eye sight. I am not familiar with the area. Does anyone have a decent area to look at that isn't private that will show some mulies?

Thanks,

Bryan

Up the Entiat road to ardenvoir then up into the Chiwawa unit. Not a bad area. plenty of does there last year.

If you want to stay close to Leavenworth just head up to the Chumstick. Head up Eagle Creek Rd. lots of places to drive around....should see plenty of deer. Especially that last weekend. Would be a good place to start!

You won't have any trouble taking a doe from the Chiwawa River Road; turn off Chickamin Road if you are still hunting when you get there. Any of the public lands north and east of Lake Wenatchee will work too. The Entiat Tyee Mountain area would be another good spot but it won't be necessary to go all the way over there if you are hunting from Leavenworth.
