Good question I would be surprised if anybody posts any decent pictures. We both know that Anthro is just a shadow of what it used to be. I,am sure there is still some nice ones hiding out but not near as many as there used to be a few years ago. Sad but true, Disgusting how a unit that up until a few years ago I considered to be one of the top units in the state Could go down hill so fast! Lots of issues with the management of this unit.

^^^ Here's an Anthro bull^^^^

Ya, my signature bulls from Anthro..
Kinda strange one too, BUT hell, took him with a bow...

And, I'd love to see some recent photos off anthro as well!

I GOT FREAK'IN CRAZY! PUT IN FOR ARCHERY ANTHRO ELK THIS YEAR!

Going to try and break the 'bow-less' streak,,,,,,,
Looking at the harvest stats, there hasn't been a archery LE bull
killed there in 2 years! I know, I'm nuts!.!.

But I do know Anthro quite well, want to take my kids there
and give the elk hunting another shot....If I draw of course.

Wow, Bowhunt that's a better unit than i thought. I put in for the wrong unit. San Juan Pisscutter unit.

Yep Bess, We named him 'Goofyelk'....

This bull was living In Antelope creek, low , in the cedars.
shot him in 2004, a kid from Roosevelt picked up his 'weird'
drop horn in 2003........

It was me and the boy alone, called him to 9 yards with a cow call.
Couldn't pass him up with my 6 year old boy by my side...
Let him have an arrow, it was actually WAAAY COOL!
Huge bodied bull, was aged at 11 years old by the DWR.

I thought I read from one of the RAC meeting notes that they had considered doing to the Anthro like they did on the Beaver & Oak Creek and splitting it into one side LE the other side a General unit??

Robb

Here is a bull my buddy got this past Late Hunt. He feels like he way over achieved.
Saw lots of rag bulls and a couple 250-280 bulls. Driving out to hunt one morning this bull with 3 rags were in the tall sage. It was a no brainer.

With the busted third he was a bit over 340.

He was very excited about it. I would be too, its a great bull.

Thats the best 2012 Anthro bull I've seen Muley!

And Robb,
They did take part of Anthro and made it General season.
Myton bench, and Leland bench were both pary of that change.

In-fact , the year I drew in 2004, They let us archers start
August 1st in the Leland farm land areas...
The bulls were WIPPING out the corn fields..

I had a 310-15 bull in velvet one evening at 35 yards,
Let him walk....I still think about that one, hard to pass!
