For the first time in my lifetime I not draw a tag of any kind in California or any other state. Bummed out.

Used max points to draw Doyle. Glad to burn my points finally so I can start hunting other zones every year. Time to pray for snow.

I got a B tag. 1 of only 35,000. I beat the odds again this year.

I must be as lucky as you EEL. I got one of those tags also. Been putting for antelope forever and a big fat NO again. YBO any chance you got one this year?

didn't Big Green have 55,000 tags before?
and they sold out last year..big fire there
now I think in Shasta-Trinity NF..
I drew X-1 (2nd time random)..

Dmc just drive the roads and a big buck could cross the road in front of you at any moment in m-3

I just scheduled the whole season off so I can try and make good on it.

Coveted B zone tags for me and mine!

Congratulations Dan! It's going to be hard to top your son's buck for sure but I know you will give it your all.

jester, yes 55,000 was the old number. They have sold out for the last few years now that the number is 35,000.

Well first I got rejected in Nevada draws, now the same here in home state. Damn, it has been 30 years since I last had a Deer tag here, give them to the Senior Citizens first so we can have fun one last time.

Good luck to all that drew, I have one last hope next week and that is WYOMING DEER & A MAYBE ON ANTELOPE.

Next year I am going Viet Cong hunting....LOL

Nothing for me this year and two of my good buddies didn't draw as well. I always figured my license and application fees were money well spent. If we don't choose to support our Fish and Wildlife Depts, there are plenty of envrio, pro-predator, anti hunting people out there that will.

Congrats to those with great tags and good luck to those that at least get to hunt country that, though maybe not the best zones, at least they are familiar with.

NV? no
Idaho.. i am going out on limb and say no
Cali?.nope but as the norm picked up two over counter d zone tags to scratch the itch that seems to be bad already. Buddys got X 8 e tried for x 12.
Good luck to everyone who drew! Look forward to seeing your stories!

LAST EDITED ON Jun-12-15 AT 05:36PM (MST)[p]1st choice- Preference Point
2nd choice- C tag
3rd choice- A1
NO LUCK!
Live on the 12,000 acre family ranch and can't draw a tag. I don't think I should have to apply for a C tag as my first choice just to hunt. If our ranch was 10 miles further west I could just simply go buy two B tags over the counter and be guaranteed tags. If the ranch was 50 miles further east in an X zone I could get landowner tags but that's not the case.

That's funny, Greg! It'll be interesting to see how you do. We should bet a cold one, or a duck hunt, on who gets a bigger buck.

Just found out a co-workers son drew X7A youth tag with 0 points.
I don't know anything about the unit but I'll probably go along and see if I can help the kid get his first Deer.

As long as Matt and I get to add ours together!
Your bet is a win/win. A cold one and a duck hunt for the winner or loser

Congrats drew M3 last year was a blast killed my best ca muley and my widest buck to date. Have to look over a bunch of average bucks to find a tag worthy one but sure is fun seeing that many everyday.

I hope this doesn't sound like bragging cause it isn't meant to be BUT:

I didn't draw anything!!!!! And was glad.

Figured with the NV and AZ results we had, I would get stuck with a NE elk, or Lassen goat tag.

I would have made it work iff'n that had happened but glad it didn't.

Good luck to those who drew!!!!!!

I have a friend who's pal does the PLM program in the B zones I didn't think it's xzone specific!

No the PLM program is available statewide. The PLM program and landowner tags are two completely different programs. Landowners in the X zones with at least 640 acres (I believe) can obtain LO permits for their deeded acreage. No real need to sign up for the PLM program in B zone with the availability of tags. I do believe that the PLM programs allows later season dates but that's the only real advantage. Another thing is the PLM program is not cheap to enroll in and DFW requires an assessment of the property and possibly improvements to the habitat.

No problem. Go ahead and rub our faces in it.:)

Just kidding of course.:)

Two really good friends drew their tags. One will be hunting X12 and the other will be in X3b. As for me, I didn't draw. Kinda glad as I used my 9 points in Colorado on a great deer tag.

Good luck to everyone this year

Anyone ever hunted the M9 hunt ? (Devil's Garden). Finally drew this year. I know a little about the area, but would like to hear about other people's experiences there. Especially in Nov.

Looking for info on the hunt I drew. Not looking for anyone's honey hole but just some areas to check out. I'm willing to put in the work, no road hunting for me. So if anyone has some solid intel on Preference Point I would love to hear it. You can PM me if you would rather not share it with everyone.

I'm almost afraid to post this ! I drew Likely Tables Period 1 with less than maximum points. I drew it in 2003 and have just been putting in , and never expecting another tag !!

Everyone hates you.

Got lucky finally, first big 3 tag ever drawn, max points, East Park reservoir bull,.. and a G1 tag.

NECALI. 50 years of UN. I'm a pathetic loser. I'm considering cutting off my trigger finger. Might change my luck...luck? Heck luck went out the door after 1971/72 when my draft number was one of the last birthrates to come up. Okay, only Kilo and a few other old timers know what I'm talking about.

The good new is that I do have two B zone special tags in my possession. Anyone know where I can find a corky/spike. Thanks

drew a awesome d10 tag, Thought I would draw a antelope tag with 11 points I guess maybe next year, I will draw and have a chance at my first antelope.

YBO, I drew high numbers in 71/72 also. Back then we hoped we didn't get drawn.:)

I have a B tag too. I heard a rumor about a spike/fork up on Southfork Mountain out by the Race Track. The archery hunters are already camped on him by now I'm sure.
