Chelan county tags

OK all of you with WA Chelan rut tags, are you ready??? 5 weeks and its game on! What are your plans???

Yep, all ready. I'm gonna head up to the snowline(hopefully) and glass until my eyes hurt, then glass some more.

Slider, Any thoughts on where to put a two trailer camp we can hunt both Entiat and Chiwawa out of???

I'm getting excited to use my late Chiwawa tag as well. What I'm planning to do (At least for one of the weeks) is to bring my trailer over and park it at the "Entiat City Park." It's located down by the river just below the town of Entiat.

I spoke with the park (camp) managers anout 3 weeks ago and they said the park will close before November but they gave me a number to call for reservations and keys. They apparently will allow hunters to park at the park if arrangements are made ahead of time. Also....there will be no water or sewer, and I'm not sure about electrical. Anyway, if interested I can PM you the phone number of who to contact. (I still need to make contact myself). Can't wait!

I think Coopers Store in Ardenvoir has trailer sites?

I have Chiwawa and my son and partner have Entiat. I dont think the store has anything but there is one really nice spot 2 miles up from the store on the Mad river road I would like to get If it is not full....I would welcome your help if you are into it....We have the 10th thru the 18th to hunt and no one is in any hurry to tag out....Thanks, Dan.

I drew the Chiwawa 3yrs. ago. My cousin drew it this year so I'll be back up there with him again.

LEMON....Not sure if the place up Mad River your referring to is Pine Flats, but that could be a possibility for you guys. Although if we get a lot of snow they close it. If not, shouldn't be that many guys in there for the late hunt. Usually full of trailers and campers and such during the general season.

Was up on Hearts pass Monday and there was a few inches of snow. Good luck fellas....

Do you guys think this snow will push those high country bucks lower? Or will they stick it out until the bitter cold end like years past?
