Funny story, I first saw this buck in the early spring. I knew he was going to be a good one. I seen him 4 times after that, The last time I saw him was on labor weekend, The deal with that buck was he was running with a large four point (about 180-190). When hunting started I said I would shoot the first one I saw. Second day of the hunt I found both of them in the same clearing-I just couldn't shoot the straight four point even if he looked to be bigger.
Now here is the funny part-I missed my first two shots on this buck-I know it sounds crazy but he didn't know where to run too so he just moved a little this way and a little that way finally I got a good rest and put him on the ground. I was dancing like a little school girl when I got up to him. He was even bigger than I had thought. First muzzle loader deer and the first buck in five year I have shot-I can't kill little deer.
I can't wait for the elk hunt I saw many big bulls also.
