I'm always hoping to find a nice bull elk to photograph or get video footage...not like this! With sticker points about a 9x8 bull Would've been a nice trophy for some fortunate hunter! Sad to encounter. :-(

Pretty amazing the antelers were in that good of shape. I would think a hit from a vehicle hard enough to kill it would have scraped up the velvet more.

Yeah...he flew (or rolled) some 80 ft. from point of impact.I did try and report to SO dispatch and NDOW shortly after I encountered him. In the heat, don't know if they will be able to save any meat or not.

No. With final growth not quite completed on odd main beams (slightly whale-tailed or paddled), the little odd trash points, and the brow tine actually growing over the opposite side, he was NT.

Nice bull. Looks like its hip was broken on the one side for sure, if both were broken that would explain why he didn't make it far. Probably took a while to die if that is the case.

Let me guess, you drive a 1 ton with oak trees for smoke stacks, 12" lift kit and 40" tires to pull a single place lawn mower trailer?

Looks like a Dirt Road?
