Went and picked up a Idaho general season deer license last night, which buy the way are selling fast. Was just wondering if Idaho had any rules that I might have missed in the proclaimation. Like in Colorado you have to have your gun in a case on a fourwheeler, things like that. Any help would be great.

Thanks

Only is curtain units, however. If my memory serves me correctly, you cannot travel on a four wheeler during shooting hours with a weapon. Which means, no road hunting.

What do you mean only in certain areas??

NONRESIDENT DEER TAG - USE FOR
BLACK BEAR OR MOUNTAIN LION
Nonresident deer tags, EXCLUDING Nonresident
Junior Mentored deer tags, are valid to take a black bear
or mountain lion instead of a deer where and when the
deer tag is valid, and there is an open deer season in
that unit; and there is also an open bear season if taking
a bear or open mountain lion season if taking a lion in
that same unit. Hunters may buy other bear or lion tags,
but after the deer tag is used to harvest a deer, black
bear, or mountain lion, a second deer tag may not be
purchased, except to hunt in an area where the harvest
of two deer is allowed, or by purchasing a

Their website is fishandgame.idaho.gov. You can download the regulations there. You should be familiar with the regulations in the state before you decide to head out hunting there....

Several years ago if you did not fill your tag in October you could go to North Idaho in November and hunt again and you could hunt Whitey's or muleys. Don't know if that still holds true. fatrooster.

You can buy a second tag if there are any left after you shoot your first buck. So, it you shoot one on opening day, and want to stay and keep hunting you can go buy another tag. They may sell out though. Make sure and check ATV regulations in the area you plan to hunt, it some areas you cannot hunt off an ATV.
