opening day triple

We were lucky enough to kill these three bucks all together, in the first 30min of opening day. Cant beat that for an opener.

This was in a general area that ive hunted for the past six yrs. Ive taken quite a few good bucks outa here and have an idea where they like to hang out. So we hiked in early to a vantage point to start glassing. Before i could even get set up i looked down the ridge and spotted my buck (the top photo) feeding in the edge of the trees about 100yrds. I quickly set up and took the shot dropping him right there. When he dropped five more deer that where already in the trees ran out and down the ridge. I quickly yelled at my two partners that there where two more big bucks. They ran to the edge of the hill and had broadside shots at about 250yds of the two big bucks and were able to take em. We then spent the rest of the day getting em out, we were pretty tired but all grins.

I always see nice animals taken from ID. My wife's family owns land in Bonners Ferry (northern ID by Canada and MT). I've never been there, but is that area good for bucks? Can you buy over the counter tags?
