Last night UThunting and I captured some shots of his wifes
"Almost a kill shot" sequence. He wanted me to post them for him.

LAST EDITED ON Oct-23-07 AT 10:10AM (MST)[p]Shummy, UThunting had an earlier post titled "What would the rite thing be", where his wife shot this buck on film, and after dropping it, it got up and ran over the ridge. They followed only to see another hunter drop it again. These photos just show the buck after she shot it.

LAST EDITED ON Oct-23-07 AT 12:05PM (MST)[p]Edit: nm... look close and you can still see it. In fact look close in the final pict, its kicking snow up into the air.

Dallan is correct. After being shot, the deer leaped straight up in a verticle position, then hit the ground. Pictures 5 and 6 show (hard to see) the buck on the ground, with the last picture showing the snow fly as the buck did what they thought was the death kick. The buck was on the ground for 5-10 seconds before it got back to its feet.

I can see the snow kick up but I'm so fricken color blind that's all I can see.

Another clip of a deer getting verticle, last 10 seconds of the clip. Has to be a 44" vertical and down the hill 5-6'
