Have mid November archery bull tag. What is best way to find these post rut big boys? Will they stay in the same area after the rut? Thank you for any help.

They will usually move and sometimes many miles. The best time for scouting is immediately prior to the hunt. I have the same tag and this hunt is no cake walk. Good luck to you.

Find the highest point that offers you a good glassing spot of the area that you are hunting and have some of that high dollar glass(I use 15x56 Swarovski on a tripod and a spotting scope to check the bigger ones) and let the glassing do the work you will find them along the edges.
Scout early and often.

I just returned from helping my buddy on the 23N rifle hunt. Amazing amount of bulls...I'm interested to hear how the late hunt goes as I think I'll never have enough points to hunt that unit in the rut. I do know of a guy that hunted with Ty Goodman 2 years ago on the late archery hunt and harvested a 370". He was sitting water I believe.

Thanks, I'll let you know how the late hunt goes. I'm with you on the early hunts I think it can take many years to get drawn. Did your buddy take a bull on the early hunt?

Got my bull in 23N on the archery hunt and if it is still as wet in November as it was during September don't even think about sitting water. The elk were spread out everywhere a were finding water just about anywhere they wanted.
