2007 General Season Buck

We stalked this buck for over a mile. It took four and half hours to drag it to the wheeler, with a lot of mountains in between. Any guess on the score.

if that ain't 185+ gross I'd be surprised....looks like the back fork on it's right side is a pincher though.

Nice catch on the right back fork being small. The front fork on the right side is quite a bit deeper than the front fork on the left. Give and Take, I guess.

170ish. Big bodied bastage. That's a long drag with that size of buck. Why you didn't quarter him?

Great buck! I'd be happy. You do know that a little cutting and packing is alot easier than dragging the sucker out whole?

GREAT BUCK! CONGRATS! JUST QUARTER HIM NEXT TIME. EXTRA TRIPS, BUT ALOT NICER TO GET HIM OUT. JUST A THOUGHT.

One step further, debone him no use hauling out bones, I never ate them before and have yet to find a person that can chew one down...
I hauled out the head, cape and meat from my buck this year in one trip.

That buck is a mid to high 180's (gross)
That small back fork will hurt the score, but hes got decent mass and width. I'm leaning toward high 180's...
Let us know how we did!
Nice buck by the way!

By the way,
I live in UT.
There are a lot of UTARDS that live here.
I have also seen quite a few WYOMORONS, NEVADUHNS, COLORADORKS, ID-IOTS and AIRHEADZONANS in my travels.

I've quartered and deboned in the past, but it was too dark to see well enough to cape. I also thought we could get the wheeler closer than we could.

It was only my wife and me, luckily she was a real trooper (I was whining like a b$#ch).

My first thought was 180-185.Im not to great at scoring, but that was what I would say.Awesome buck.It don't matter what it scores.A keeper any day in my book.Way to go.

The taxidermist (who has mounted 4,000 muleys) says it is an old deer on his way down. It had completely worn its teeth.

He ripped his ear and even broke his nose at some point in his life. It just makes you respect the animal and the life it lived so much more.

I just wish those who don't hunt could experience the reverence we all feel for the animals we hunt. Congrats to all those who had successful hunts, whether they harvested animals or not.

Hell of a buck. There is no way it is over 185" though. A good solid upper 170's buck I would say. Congrats and thanks for the posting!

Well I have to agree with what some of the others have said.. I could care less about the tale of the tape.. It is a very nice buck that I would love to be able to hang a tag on. No doubts about it..
Congratulations. Sounds like you earned him.
