I got my tag, who else will be hunting?

I would if I had the $$$ to pony up to hunt that area. Its mostly all private and all of the land owners want lots of dinero to hunt. I wish I knew of an area or 2 that I could get into.

There's a couple BLM spots that elk will cross through regularly on this unit. But you got to deal with the other butt holes who hunt it as well. It can be pretty frustrating.

I found one spot this summer that has piles of elk bones still there from last winter with a bunch of old dead hay from where they must have been baiting them.

Like already stated, killing one unless you know a land owner isn't much of a possibility. Sadly my family's land is on the wrong side of 89. If it just went one mile more...I'd be in business!

I would like to as it is closer to home than W.F. but have yet to find anywhere worth a damn that's not private.

Man you guys must not be looking hard enough! I've found plenty of elk on this hunt on public land!! Some dang nice bulls too!

The Sanpete extended elk is on the RAC/Board agenda
to be elimanated after this season ....

Goofy, they are making the San Pete cow only next year but they are not getting rid of it yet.
