I would if I had the $$$ to pony up to hunt that area. Its mostly all private and all of the land owners want lots of dinero to hunt. I wish I knew of an area or 2 that I could get into.
There's a couple BLM spots that elk will cross through regularly on this unit. But you got to deal with the other butt holes who hunt it as well. It can be pretty frustrating.
I found one spot this summer that has piles of elk bones still there from last winter with a bunch of old dead hay from where they must have been baiting them.
Like already stated, killing one unless you know a land owner isn't much of a possibility. Sadly my family's land is on the wrong side of 89. If it just went one mile more...I'd be in business!
