I know first hand, well...first hand from my brother's coworker's cousin...that this buck was shot in southern California in a canyon where he was seeking refuge from the fires. Not much news on it, as its a pretty average buck here...
I got the pic on e-mail and it did say that the buck came from Idaho. I'm wondering what it scores and how wide? Its gotta be well over 40" from cheater to cheater, possibly a state record?
it came out by georgetown canyon, between soda springs and montpelier, I dont know him but I hear he works at the mine, and the buck was in that area, 1 of 2 pushing 40'' from s.e. part of the state!!!
He watched and scouted for a few years, then opening day popped him, he can come on and tell ya his name. steelheader is correct. general area of montpelier Idaho.
Can't believe you Mark... You just had to open your mouth about our little secret here in southern CA.. Well we had a good thing going.. I'm surprised you didn't tell them about the elk hunting.. Some people, I'm tellin ya..

Count the very top row of bricks, it gives you an idea of how wide. The bricks are probably 6 inch plus the grout lines. I count about 8 bricks across frome cheater to cheater. I guess it depends on how close he is to the wall too. What do you guys think he'll score? I say at least 265 nontypical. My uncle killed a 245 non-typ and I know this buck is way bigger.
>Tony.....I transfered that photo and emailed
>it to GOD....he said he
>ain't never seen one that
>big either!
Well if God is impressed than I am in awe as well.. Did God happen to mention well a fella might go lookin' for another buck like that one? .. Just wonderin'..
