Help me find my elk!

On the Wasatch extended, seen a nice elk, made a shot but it might have been a little far back, or maybe forward, kind hard to tell, that last 6 pcak kinda made me a little jumpy! LOL!!

Anyway, it was a good solid hit, I heard the "whump" and then I went after it and found some good blood in the snow right next to the tracks. Tracked him for a ways (at least another 6 pack! HA HA HA!!!) and then it got dark. Went back the next day and picked up the blood trail, the elk must have circled because I ended up back where I started (I know because I found the other 6 pack I buried in the snow! HA HA HA!!)

Got confused from there (cna ya really blame me??!! HA HA!) and lost him. So I went a drainage over and found another one and killed it. Sorry, no bpics of it cuz I used them all trying to track the big one I hit first.

Anway, just wanted to post these pics to see if you think I will be able to recover it - do you think I may have hit it in the kidney or the renal gland? Can you tell from the blood? Also look how close the tracks are together in the last pic - maybe walking funny?

Any help or advise would be cool.

Here is the first blood I found:

"Pics or it didn't happen!"

>this is just an poor attempt
>at comedy right?

Actually I was laughing hard enough the person in the next cubical asked what was so funny!!!

Some people have no sense of humor!!!!

I'm free tomorrow, I can come help you look/drink. Probably could round up some other dudes to help look/drink as well.

Judging by the pics, I would say u hit it in the genital area. I have seen these animals run for days on a genital hit because of the sheer pain and agony they are going through. They have no idea as to what just happened until they are in the next county, look down and see their balls have been blown off. Hope u find him. If I was a drinker, I would come down and help u drink. Good luck. You'll probably need to do 20 mile circles until you find him....

Seriously???

BAHAHAHAH

This is one of the best stories I have read here in a while!

You don't also go by Tye??

Glad you got your second bull, hope you find your first!

I do not think he is hit at all.
My guess is a bladder infection, and you scared the PISS out of him with a near miss.
Pissed blood for a bit and moved on.
I would NOT have even followed up and tried to track it.

This thread is even more stupid than the ones asking for help with a crippled animal. This place isn't what it used to be. mtmuley

Me & My Friends & Family have Hunted for Thousands of years & None of us has ever seen anything like this!

I used to know of places worth Hiking in to for Elk & Deer!
Thanks to Illegal Bastards & the USFS not enforcing Rules you can Zing in to them Places on Wheelers now & not see a Damn thing!
But by GAWD it don't take long for them U-Tards to get there with all the Unethical BS and the New Technology!

If I was to come and help HOW many 30 packs should I bring it could a LONG tracking job.

It's funny how these elk change their appearance from state to state.......just like this new species of elk killed in Montana by a New York resident!

Call Paul Crawford.

He may not help you find the animal, but he will definitely lighten your beer burden!
