LAST EDITED ON Nov-12-13 AT 11:38PM (MST)[p]Just got back from my hunt from the book cliffs late hunt. Got this bull running thru our camp for three days, I finally decided to shoot him. This hunt was magnificent had over 200 elk in our camp area. It all ended opening day but for 2 days we called them our camp mascots. Had 2, 6 points then this boy come thru. The Cliffs are huge area we were running out of gas so it was getting rough. All i got to say when an elk runs thru your camp for three days its a sign LOL. So here he is about a 100 yards from camp i said what the hell i shot. I love this bull very unique a 6x7 huge body. Just so you all know the elk there were in full rut this week no bachelors herds, they all had cows and bugling, this bull had at least 30 cows the only reason i got him he was bugling and pushing the cows thru the timber which gave me time to climb the other side to wait to shoot. What a fun hunt, I wanna thank JakeH and Browningrage, they put me in the middle of elk. Its not the size but the happiness of the hunt my grandpa always said, I had a effing blast with on this hunt with my hunting pardner Brian.

well tried everything this web site asked to do to get a pic downloaded so eff it god can pass kidney stones easier than this

Thanks to Illegal Bastards & the USFS not enforcing Rules you can Zing in to them Places on Wheelers now & not see a Damn thing!
But by GAWD it don't take long for them U-Tards to get there with all the Unethical BS and the New Technology!

Good work! Post some pics up. My Dad had the late tag and we didn't even see a cow for the first 4 days, only bachelor bulls. Sounds like you had a totally different experience, more like a Sept. hunt.

Well not saying they all were but every herd we seen had a bull pushing the cows. I'm assuming maybe some of the bulls that didn't get any action earlier were attempting it now. We had three herds within in two canyons of us all had bulls bugling and pushing the cows very aggressively and being very dumb to the hunt. Had one 6 point second morning of the hunt about 300 yards of our tent bugling with his cows we watched him for about an hour and he was doing the cow mount. By day three the herds moved out we saw a couple of guys hauling out some quarters in the canyon behind us so assuming that they got one of the 6 points. SLIVER thanks for getting that pic posted for me much appreciate it.

Congrats! Looks like a nice bull. Sounds like you guys had a fun time. I feel bad for the guys out on Winter Ridge, hope they get into some bulls before it's all over.

Good Bull, It's a blast to finding them to be bugling on your hunt.
No rhyme or reason for them to be bugling, But you drew a late tag and there they was bugling, I love hunting the late hunts because it happens a lot.
