Big Nevada Bull

LAST EDITED ON Nov-24-13 AT 12:15PM (MST)[p]I am usually stuck with clients for the elk hunt but when my dad finally drew this year I cleared my schedule for what ended up being the best elk hunt I have ever been on. He was a trooper and on the fourth day of the hunt he hammered this old six point. With my brother Monte who also guides for Timberline Outfitters on the assist we finally got it all back to camp two short days after dad killed him.

I have to give dad credit for the great shooting and how well he kept it under control during the moment of truth. Sending three 150 grain Bergers from the 270 WSM at just over 500 yards straight to the basket was no easy feat. I don't think the bull had time to blink he unloaded on him so fast. Congrats and Thank you for the memories.

Congrats to your dad on that great bull and of course his sons for helping make it a success.

Old Guys Rule!

That is about 4 Bulls that were taken on the 4th day that I know of now during the early season around Ely.

Justin, was the BEST GUIDED hunt I have ever had and Hal worked his tail off to my it a success. Met only a couple of the TO crew and all were great guys.

Hope to be back again down the road...still have DEER points that need to get lucky on the draw...maybe in 2014.
