I have a friend who just retired from the Navy and he drew his last choice, which was a late (until Jan 15) So Slope Yellowstone cow tag. I have hunted that ares many time during the regular Oct hunt, but am looking for some general guidance on this late hunt. Any recommendations for a starting point for his first cow elk? Will they be mostly on the Indian Res at this time of year?

Hey Phantom!

They've hit the South Slope harder than I've ever seen it Pounded!

We don't have much Snow on the Mountain this year so there is still Elk on the Forrest & the Rez!

Not like I can Pinpoint any of them for you because of all the Huntin Pressure!

I seen about 200 Head last time I went up but they were keeping their distance which was further than anybody wanted to Hike/Pack for a Cow!

Being in the Right Spot at the Right Time is the Key!

They've been Pressured Hard this year!

A lot of Guys are cussing cuzz it Ain't easy like it once was!

I'm wondering how much Pressure a Game Herd can take?
