Any forecast I look at is not looking good!!!
Maybe some small accumulations of snow the next day or 2 then sunny and 50-60 after that!!!
AHHHH!

I have a cow tag for unit 43 and hope to fill that in a day or 2 them buy a buck tag (yes there is plenty of tags where I am going) and finish the season out chasing a rut crazed monster!
Cool, snowy weather doesnt seem to want to help out though, oh well I am still goign to give it a try.
I CANT WAIT!!

I cant feel to bad for you the 3rd season was like going to Florida some days it was close to 70 and it never got below 65 for a high if this keeps up there should be some great hunting next year or in a few years when it gets back to normal winters

Just got back from 43, the elk are very high, and if their not high, they are in the oak brush, if you can get on Crystal River Ranch you could get an easy cow, if not, your gonna have to work hard for that cow! Try Camp Foster thats where we saw the most elk. No deer though.

Thanks CC!
I'm leaving in a few minutes!

You can buy a tag from a CDOW office once the season starts and there is tags left.

Just got back as well. I left California to go to Colorado to enjoy California weather! 20 in the morning and 65 by noon. Didn't see a cloud for five days! Deer were sniffin' but not really rutting hard or migrating. Elk in the oak brush is an understatement. O'well. Still had a good time.

Man that sucked!
31 miles of boot tread hitting the dirt and no elk in 5 days of hunting.
All I wanted was a cow!
Saw some nice country while chasing tracks at 11000'!!
Thanks for help Pointer! I tried.
