Anyone got any ideas for a use with 9 points? It stinks - let me tell you. I once thought I would be able to catch up with a 3rd or 4th rifle in unit 40 but I just looked up the odds and it appears I remain just out of reach. I'm ready to burn them and quit saving them.

I'm open to anything. Guided, unguided - doesn't matter to me.

I am in the same position, going to spend my 10 points in 2015. Thought I could catch 61 for a fun hunt but it will be 6 years yet at least. Would have used them this year but made plans to hunt a different unit with a friend and my Dad (2nd choice).

I'm a resident, assuming you are too?

Let me guess, you drive a 1 ton with oak trees for smoke stacks, 12" lift kit and 40" tires to pull a single place lawn mower trailer?

It looks like you are really in no mans land for sure. Just looking at the odds, it looks like 49 First Rifle would be an option (used to take 6 points a few years back), can't even draw 76 Archery with nine points. You have very few options, Muzzleloader in 4, 5 or 20?

Ever thought about a late season unit 20 elk hunt. Chasing big bulls as they migrate/wonder out of Rocky Mountain National Park... It's crossed my mind a number of times.

I wouldn't, I just prefer units that are mostly public land. Don't like the hassle of navigating private land.
