Colorado unit 65

NOBULL.....I LOOKED AT THE NUMBERS, AND GOT ADVICE FROM A FEW FELLAS. THE UNIT HAS A BUNCH OF PRIVATE, AND A LOT OF HIGH COUNTRY. SEEMS NOT A LOT OF HUNTERS FLOCK THERE.....WHO KNOWS IT MIGHT BE GOOD.......BUT THE KILL NUMBERS WERE NOT GREAT. I THINK ONE DAY I STILL MIGHT GO GET A LOOK AT THE UNIT......TAKE ER EASY.......OH, UNDERSCRIBED UNIT FOR ELK, DEER... I DONT KNOW !!!.................YD.

Hunted archery in the high country twice. 3 years ago had bulls close and screaming every day. Last September never heard a peep and didn't see an Elk. Heavy thunderstorms every afternoon and night. Lots of trails and signs. Just below timberline mostly.

Cimarron SWA is better for late season. Access is pretty limited in 65. Lots of private down low. Owl Creek Pass, High Mesa and the top of Little Cimarron are some possible jumping off spots.

Tough, tough, tough last year. Quality is hard to adjust to after hunting other western states. Just my opinion.

So quality below other states, but are there legal bulls? In what way was it tough, turain, weather or hard to find animals.Looking for place to get a cow for the freezer. Did you hunt the SWA?
