okay, when it comes to the colorado website I am retarded, I cant seem to find anything I am looking for.
Can someone point me out to where you can find out what units have the 3rd season rifle hunt, Nov. 3-9.
I was wondering what hunt number area 60 was on the 3rd season.
Or is there a simple way to read the code numbers for colorado, such as what is DE003W2R or DM099O2M, or DF066O2R.

Just trying to figure out colorado, I have point pref. point for 3 years but want to start putting in for some hunts, but I am retarded when it comes to there proclamation and unit and so forth, maybe there is a book for dummies out to understand it all.

Thanks for any help.

cantkillathing, the codes such as dmo9902m breaks down as such,
d=deer,m=male,099=unit 99,02= the second hunt in the unit,and m=muzzleloader. You can then look on their web site and look under hunt summaries. It's kind of confusing but there you go anyway.

LAST EDITED ON Nov-14-07 AT 08:15AM (MST)[p]Area 60 Rifle-Combined Nov.3-9 Buck D-M-060-O3-R

DM099O2M = DeerMale zone 99 2nd Muzzleloader season.
Not sure on how the definition reads for what the "O" stands for but if there is a "L" that is late season, "P" is private land only.

call a CDOW office near where you want to hunt. tell them how many points you have. tell them when and where you want to hunt. they'll tell you if you'll draw the tag or not. you can also look at "hunt summary" and "draw results" on the big game statistics page to figure out your chances of drawing a tag for the unit, sex, and season you want to hunt, but it's a helluva lot easier to call the DOW.
