ackleyfan, I use a taxidermist out of Utah County. He really flies under the radar, and has a very small clientile, but if your interested, I can PM you his contact information. In my mind, he's one of the tops when it comes to big bulls and big bucks.

What a pretty bull! Love the symmetry. Taxi did a great job - really gave him some character. Man I would be overjoyed.

Congrats.

As a taxidermist I have to say that is a great job. The detail in the nose, eyes, and ears really make it. Congratulations on a great bull.

Very nice bull and mount. I'm having my 2013 bull mounted very similar. Hope it turns out as good as yours. Congratulations !

>Okay, I'll bite.....360?

Yeah, I agree - we need a score on that thing. Just for field judging purposes, which doesn't mean I would pass on him on almost any hunt.

Right now they are pushing 20", but I'm hammering hard and by summer the guns should surpass the 20" mark... LOL

In all seriousness, I wanted to thank everyone for their congrats on the bull. Honestly, I knew there were bigger bulls on the Dutton this year, but all summer long, I comtemplated what the the perfect bull would be, and really wanted a good 6x6 bull, with a solid fronts, 3rds, and back end. I wouldn't say he excels at any (except for maybe the fronts), but when he presented himself, there was no passing him up.

I had a buddy help me put a tape on him and we came up with roughly 365, but we're not experts by any stretch.

I never get hung up on score. If they look good on my wall, they are a trophy.

Mike...First off, congrats on the great Bull and also the fast turn around on the mount. Like others have said, great work by the small time Taxi man.
I got a call from the Taxi man I used on March 31st of this year that my NOV 2013 bull was also ready to be picked up....he only had it about 4-1/2 months and did a pedestal mount that we discussed.
I plan on using this same Taxi again if I should get a worthy mount to have done.

I believe I had 15 Points, but you should be able to draw that tag with 14+ Points. It's a great unit, but from what i could see, could be a brutally demanding unit as well.

Thanks! I'm very pleased to have had the opportunity to meet and use my Taxidermist. He's a great guy and does amazing work. I look forward to seeing your mount. Congrats as well!

Mike,

Saw your picture twice in the latest issue of ELK HUNTER on page 13 & 97.....great shots of you and the Bull.
