Nice bucks! The one looks shot in the face? Is that the only shot he had at it? That would be a tuff shot to take and make I'll bet! Congrats to the hunters.

Those are some nice bucks, It looks like it was all that bad of a hunt, with the weather not helping. Do they have a hunt story to go with those pictures would like to hear about the hunt. Looks like they did pretty good.

Both good bocks!
Congrats to the hunters!

By the way,
I live in UT.
There are a lot of UTARDS that live here.
I have also seen quite a few WYOMORONS, NEVADUHNS, COLORADORKS, ID-IOTS and AIRHEADZONANS in my travels.

Did he get in a boxing match with that one to finish it off?

Orion asked me to post a little bit about the story, as I was there too. The Books are an interesting place to hunt, you can get lucky or you can get screwed all in the same day in the same area. Luckily there are new deer moving in constantly to keep it interesting.

The buck on the left was shot on the evening hunt of opening day. It had been raining pretty hard, but it had let up a little. We were headed up a canyon where we had seen several deer prior to that evening. We were seeing a few smaller 4-points, that were amazingly close just grazing. We headed up the canyon a little further and this buck and a doe took off. He stopped for a broadside shot, and of course he missed. Luckily he didn't move far before stopping agian, and he dropped him at about 200 yards.
The buck on the right (the bloody one) was spotted grazing with some does and smaller bucks pretty early one morning. The stalk was on, but it wasn't long before the deer were on the move, luckily we made it over to the canyon they were heading up. We saw a couple of them sneek out ahead of us. Luckily the bigger buck held tight for a bit, he just happened to take off throught the meadow that was fortified, after three misses, the last shot hit him in the neck as you can see, if you knew this guy you know it was pure luck on that shot, but he was as happy as a little kid. It was a great hunt. Love the Books.
