Got a call last Momday afternoon saying he had my Elk Pedestal done and ready to pick up.
Went over to Sacramento area yesterday and my friend and I loaded it up inside his camper shell...just barely. Took some work to get inside house and room, but it is there now. Great turn-a-round time of 5 months and it looks great.

great looking.
Is this the bull you got in NV on the late hunt? I think you had a write up on here about it.

Let me guess, you drive a 1 ton with oak trees for smoke stacks, 12" lift kit and 40" tires to pull a single place lawn mower trailer?

Joey,
That second picture with all the white walls and clean room is the livingroom of the Taxidermists house. When he finished he brought into his Living room till I picked it up. They said they were getting use to it sitting there and had people who came by to see them had lots of comments about the pedestal mount that were all good.
That first picture is my small man cave where I spend most of my time on 'puter etc. I have ran out of room now so not sure what I will do next...LOL

That's the good stuff right there Mr Kilo!
Thanks for sharing your trophy bull with us.

That turned out great Brian, and good turn around time. That's a beautiful bull. I really like the antler color.

Just got the results by email and hard copy to be sent soon on the AGE of this Bull. He only had one tooth left and that is what I sent into Matson's Lab in MT.

Species Hunter Tooth ID (if more than one tooth) Age CC Age Range NOTES
EL Clary Elk K9 11 A

So he was not about 15 years old as previously noted. No biggie, just was curious on age. Unless I was given the wrong tooth, but not that important anymore.

11 is still old for an elk, but still, he could have made 15 with some better dental care! ;-)

With only one tooth left, he was obviously not getting all the nutrition he needed and might not have made the winter. He is a great bull.
