Cow elk tag prospects

It's that time of the year where I begin to start crunching numbers. Looking over data, (odds, satisfaction rates, tag numbers)and all the info I can get my brain wrapped around along with all the info I have gathered over the last few years. The Utah DWR website has given me a lot of info. I've been putting a list together of possible options for drawing a good cow elk tag for this year that isn't too far from home (northern Utah). I have 2 points for cow elk. I've been fortunate enough over the last couple of years to be given depredation cow elk tags from an awesome landowner while I've been collecting points and I harvested one of those two years. It was my first elk ever and it was GOOD EATING!

My family of five really enjoyed a freezer full of meat. It was depressing to finally pull the last steaks out. So it's been awhile and I'm really hoping I can get the job done this year and fill that freezer back up.

I don't have any experiences with CWMU units and I'm sure there are some great units I need to pay more attention to and I'd love to get any input from any of you who have had some experiences. Feel free to message me if you'd like. Any help would be appreciated. Im always open to the idea of joining up with someone for a great hunt also.

Theodore Roosevelt's guidance concerning
conservation...
"The movement for the conservation of wildlife,
and the conservation of all our natural resources,
are essentially democratic in spirit, purpose and
method."

"We do not intend that our natural resources shall
be exploited by the few against the interests of the
majority. Our aim is to preserve our natural
resources for the public as a whole, for the
average man and the average woman who make
up the body of the American people."

"It is in our power...to preserve game..and to give
reasonable opportunities for the exercise of the
skill of the hunter, whether he is or is not a man of
means."
