O'h My, that is an ABSOLUTE GAGGER STUD BUCK! Dreams are made of seer like that , I love all the trash! Thanks for sharing it, are all the hunts up in WY over yet?

Looks like you have got you a "resident buck" ha ha ha...
either way what a slob!!

I believe your right. The black trailer in the background has a Idaho license plate or at least when blown up it looks like one.

Nope that is a Wyoming License plate on that trailer, and it is definately Rawlins.

I have heard of this buck from a couple of friends I have in Rawlins but have never seen a pic of it until now, and it is awesome.

Unless the photographer has a kick-ass zoom on his camera...that seems to be a rather tame deer. He's got to be "local" and used to seeing people, etc. He is really laid out on his right side! Helluva buck!

4th picture looks like he's headed to "Checker Auto Parts"

He's an awsume buck.

Hope he's not hit by a car or worse....

A town buck near my friend's house was hit last year...finally...and they brought it to him for taxi work- a 226 monster....

Omg that a checker auto parts sign in the background. Ill get in a wreck the next checkers i go by lookin for that damn buck

looks like he got one doe, so it will be a good thing that he's genes will be carried on.

That buck is the town pet.He cruises all over town and gets photographed in people's yards! He is a bomber, though!

So, here's a question for all of you to ponder on. Let's say that buck has truely been cruising around town 3 or more years. Everyone has seen and enjoyed watching him grow each year. Would you go ahead and shoot the town pet which happens to be a monster or let him go knowing that he is something so rare that most people would never see in a lifetime? Could you really shoot him and say "ya I hunted him down" when in reality he just happened to wonder into an area were you could shoot? I admit my first instinct was wow blast him what a wall hanger, but after reading the comments on how he's been around and everyone gets to see him I don't think I would. Just something to think about. What would you do?

If he is a town pet and you shot him....you'd probably have to deal with crap from a lot of people. Don't shoot him. BUT...on the flip side...someone not familiar with the area gets a crack at him then you've let someone else shoot the deer of his dreams. This is a tough dilema to be in. No comment!!

>Shoot him! And if tried to
>get up, shoot him again!

Agreed! I have known about this deer for a couple years and a friend that lives there says that the deer disappears for a while after he sheds velvet. If I came across it in an open area how could you not kill it?

LAST EDITED ON Nov-22-07 AT 10:57PM (MST)[p]Thank you for an honest response. If I had the tag and the deer was in a area where he could be legally shot, then lead in the air hope in the heart! While your wrestling with the moral issues I'll deal with the loading him issues.

I have horses I'm use to dealing with crap, put him in a open area and a tag in my hot little hand. I'm willing to bet he don't make it another season before some-one drop's the hammer on him. Archery season would be my bet.

A friend from there told me about him just a couple of months back.
Great to see a pic of him, what a dandy !
