Now that the seasons over i was curious how anyone with this tag did? hadnt heard of any locals connecting yet but heard from quite a few elk hunters there were some toads out there. i assume since the snow the big guys started coming out of the woodwork.
if i remember right a guy from washington on here drew this year?

hmmm...mum's the word. Must be lots of big ones heading to the taxidermists, quietly.

I too am very interested in this zone. I have never drawn a tag nor do I know anyone who has had the tag. Has anyone on here gotten this tag? How did you do? Any pics? Any info is appreciated.

The #3 Montana typical was taken in 270 in 2005. Many 200 inch non-typicals have been taken in the last 3 years. Lots of 180 class bucks. Poaching, in my opinion, is a problem. The head biologist in this area felt antler growth was down in '07 from previous years. I am going to my taxidermist to check out a high 190's typical buck from another area, and will check out what came in from 270. mtmuley

my father-in-law drew this tag this year he did'nt get to hunt much but he killed pretty good buck that was 30 1/4" wide and 5x5 that scored around 185" i would post pics but don't know how

LAST EDITED ON Nov-29-07 AT 12:08PM (MST)[p]I personally havent seen too many great bucks from 270. My taxidermist drew the tag and shot a 180" buck ( give or take a few inches). I have seen better bucks from another area this year than I have from 270.
