Took this the other day. Sorry its crappy...Maybe Santa will bring a better digital camera. I bet he's 28in wide...but he was so busy chasing the girls I wasn't fast enough to get a front view. If I saw one like this during hunting season I'd take him. I think them big old massive plain forks are pretty neat.

Here's one I tipped over in 2006. The more I look at him the more I appreciate him. Did a euro on him and just looks plain evil.

ive seen a few bucks like that running around at my spot
2 in the last 2 years, and they were BIG

...and I would take the other!

By the way,
I live in UT.
There are a lot of UTARDS that live here.
I have also seen quite a few WYOMORONS, NEVADUHNS, COLORADORKS, ID-IOTS and AIRHEADZONANS in my travels.

Here's one I found yesterday...

LAST EDITED ON Nov-28-07 AT 10:30PM (MST)[p]Sometimes when you say forked-horn, that doesn't tell the whole story. WOW!

Should call those Porky Forkys.:)

Good, I just found my new hunting partner and it doesn't sound like there will be any arguments between us.

This is my post

I've just pissed in my pants.......and nobody can do anything about it.

so do you figure thats genetics or just big deer on their downhill stage of life?

Cool Pictures Everybody!!! I say some of the Big Forkies are Genetics and a lot are Bucks going downhill from what I have seen alive and killed.

Went to Colorado last year in October, not hunting just visiting family, glassed up quite a few big forkys around my in-laws ranch. Makes me think its more genetics than over the hill deer. Wish they had more land so I could get a landowner tag.

Those are nice deer. I know it is easier said than done, but those deer needed to be killed. Get them out of the gene pool. If your trophy deer hunting it would be tuff to convince yourself to pull the trigger on a forky, regaurdless of the size. I like big four points not two points. those two points are good management bucks to kill.

BOHNTR.......I sent you a PM...

We have a 30"+ forky that has a DFG blue collar. He has been a forky for the past 4 years....just keeps gettin' bigger. Go figure.

Bakerboy, If i had a chance at a monster 2 point like that he's going down. Maybe not if a 30" 4 point is standing next to him :), but i do have a fetish for those big monster forkies.

Real nice buck fork horn or not.
Years back, maybe 5 or 6, was hunting late season Nevada with a guide. We saw a huge bodied 3x3 with a spread of close to 36". He didn't have eye guards so I didn't take him. Saw him just about every day. After the hunt was over I thought what difference do eye guards make on a 3x3 anyway. Should have taken him. Oh well.

i do agree with you there is something about a monster forky, but as far as genetics go we do need to kill them.

Maybe Utah should do a management hunt on these too! Apply the same rules for the hunts, as the elk management units do. Get these weaker ones out! **sarcasm**

Here's a picture of a big old forky we took out of the gene pool last year.. He was definately the toughest buck around, as he had all of the doe's with him and we watched him run off two smaller 4 x 4's...

It was not a hard decision to pull the trigger on this one.. He will look just as good on the wall as the others.

Here is a buck that was pushing all the 4 points around this year. Big body on this guy, but only a 2 point.

I've posted this picture before, but since the topic is "Big Forky", I thought I'd throw him on here again.
