DIY hunt

Well I was unsuccessful with the draw this year and I'm looking for a DIY archery bull elk hunt in Northern Utah. How many of you hunt general bull units every year? Any advice to a general area/unit would be awesome. I've shot my share of cows now just looking for something with horns (spike, rag horn, 340+ bull) I recently moved up from southern Utah and just looking to hunt this year. I've heard North Slope can produce but hard to hunt. I'm up for a challenge just new to the area.

I'm not looking for any gps coordinates or honey holes just a general direction that I can explore myself. Any advice would be appreciated.

Since when is a rag horn bull 340 +!!!? haha You'd be insanely lucky to kill a 340 bull in the Uintas. 250-300 is much more reasonable and still a very respectable. Also, listen to Dan he's completely right about the N slope. Winter counts don't lie!
