"There is only one gutless moderator I can think of on the list for this forum and he is from Canada."

Hmmm, I have been practicing the gutless method for several years now. Really find it's way easier to pack animals out on my back instead of dragging them. ;) Here I am packin out my 11 year old son's first muley buck this year after I showed him how to do the gutless method.
oct28026a.jpg

I also did the gutless method on my first mountain goat this year. Yea, I know he's a little billy. I don't really care. After 7 draws over the last 15 years, I figured it was time to just get one on the ground. The goat was a DIY solo backpack hunt. The Gutless method works awesome when you are stuck on a peak in the middle of whiteout conditions.

And yes, I did also practice the gutless method on my 07 monster muley. Yet another DIY solo hunt where the animal was deboned and packed out on my back.

Sorry 30inchbucks, but I actually have a life. I haven't been around here a lot lately because I've been too busy hunting. So I don't know what the hell you are talking about. I did get a bad message alert that is the only reason I know you are blabbin' about me.

YOU GUTLESS DOG!!!

THE ONLY bobcat THAT KNOWS ALOT OF YOU HAVE HAD THIS IMAGE IN YOUR PEA BRAIN BUT DUE TO POOR SHOOTING TACTICS I'M STILL KICKIN!!!

Sorry bess, I haven't done the gutless method on a dog yet this year. Been wanting too. Have been up to my elbows in wolves all season. Several close encounters but no shot opportunities. Am planning on getting out for some howling sessions this winter, so maybe I can post up some pics showing how to skin a wolf with the gutless method. :)

I have practiced the gutless method on cats though. There are several ways to skin a cat. The gutless method is by far the easiest.

I don't want people to get the wrong impression though, cause I still do practice the act of gutting every now and then especially when there is help around. :)

Steve, so you really are one of those gutless Canadians!:) I knew it!

It's much smarter to use your head than your back.

I guess my question is, why did his thread get nuked, but it's alright for you to egg him on? Is that what moderators are supposed to do?....

Foreman,
I don't even have a clue what thread you are taking about. Like I said, I haven't been on here much lately. I'm only egging this guy on cause I see he called me out today. Is this something moderators are supposed to do??? Why not? Are all moderators supposed to be sour puss's and never have fun???? Maybe a guy should take the Legendary Moosie's advice, 'Lighten up and have a pop.'

I see you have a lucky hunt'n shirt eh? Looking back through a bunch of hunt photos I noticed I have the same shirt on in quite a few. Cool pics !!!

Even if you could drive a truck right up to em, Ide rather do it gutless.

Peace and chicken grease...

This is like watching my grade school children fight.

Yes you did.
No I didnt.
Yes you did.
No I didnt.

Oh ya, well your a poophead.
Well not as big as poophead as you.
Yes you are.
No I am not.
Yes you are.
No I'm not.

If all else fails. Work on the joints -n- stuff

Could you do your American friends a big Favor? If so pack up all the guts in the future and send them down here to our Lib's. They are in great need of them. Also when you bone the animals out please send the spines along too.

LAST EDITED ON Dec-04-07 AT 10:09PM (MST)[p]See again, I don't even have a clue what you are taking about. Grade school fight??? WTF??? What did this 30inch guy say about me???? Because I'm confused, which 30 inch guy is it? I recall there was a 30inchbuck that used to post up some really cool pics of old time bucks. And as I work my feable little brain, I seem to recall some 30incher or something like that that was on here years ago that probably holds the record for one of the longest threads in MM history. I can't remember the exact title but something like the 'End of Trophy Deer' or something like that. I also know there are several other 30 inch fellows on here as well. So I don't know what I supposedly did to piss off this guy that he would call me gutless????

I've always answered the critics on this site with pics. It seems to keep them at bay when I blitz them with my numerous hunting pics. I figure the gutless theme fits well as I am a DIYer that does things the hardway and packs things out on my back.
Yet another gutless method critter. My son's first bear, a beauty 6'4 brown that he took this past spring.

Gutless method in Action.

And because I flip flop all the time, my 07 spring bear that I actually gutted and dragged back to the truck. Downhill dragging helps in the decision making of to gut or not to gut. :) My daughter was with me and she really was keen to to help with the field dressing.

I dont know about all the guts, but could you please quit posting pictures of your successful hunts..........I'm at work.

Please nuke any pics of anyones successful hunts while I'm stuck at work.

P.S......I dont really mind the guts.

Is that ethical?

BC--for gutless wolves.....get yourself a .50 BMG and 25 yard ass shot with a Hornady AMAX Aluminun tipped expanding bullet. Works every time

Steve, I just want to know how in the hell you can sell maps for 500 bucks detailing where monster bucks are on the AZ Strip? Did you fly your chute plane all the way from BC? Thanks for sharing the pictures with your kids. Priceless.

I can see that you don't much of a gut,So I guess your a Gutless Moderator. (LMAO) it must be from walking in the woods all the time.

Steve,

Love your pics and stories. I too love the gutless method. I started using it in '03 on an elk hunt. Even though I was only about a half mile from a road, I still boned him out. I have done other deer and elk that way since and think it to be much easier and faster. A couple of times we got some animals when the sun was close to setting and had to make a quick job of getting the animal out of there. I know I would drag one out if I was right near a road, but most my hunting is done in the backcountry now where you HAVE to bone it out unless you have access to horses or mules. No Roads! Keep the pics coming!

Steve, whats up with that toad webbed out muley getting drug out? Dang.

And hey, that buck of yours is awesome..

And finally...not flaming, just curious. Did you shoot that goat knowing his size or was he a ways off and by himself and tripped ya up a bit?

I passed on a little billy about like that. if he was by himself I think I would have been fooled by him cause he was so haired up and beautiful...but then his mom and little sister stepped out and gave him away!

Nice pics ya gutless wonder!! :0)

LAST EDITED ON Dec-05-07 AT 09:08AM (MST)[p]BCboy - I always enjoy your posts - even when they are gutless. Great photos. Would love to see some wolf photos, even if they are with guts! Isn't there more than one moderator?

30inchbuck - i think it was the others on your post that got it nuked. Too many references to specific names is my guess. Its kind of funny that certain organizations have been preaching for years that hunting needs to find the masses, and now that it is, a guide throws a hissy fits that people actually get out and look for themselves. Ironic, don't ya think?

After seeing these pics all I have to say is that if being gutless is wrong, I dont wanna be right....

Drum

PS, that guy 30inch whatever is an ass, I caught him in a lie a few years back and he disappeared for a while. I guess he crawled back out from under the bridge...

You guttless puke! How dare you come in here and share your guttless wonders of the fall only because you've been called out. Where's the love for MM members??? You can make right of it though , start posting up some more pics and give a run down about some of the hunts , and please post some pics of you goat...

Congrats on all your fun fall and more so on your son ...

obviously you guys cant see the forest through the trees. 30 incher has told more truth on this sight than you'll ever know. I think he hit a truth button. It's called you cant handle the truth. The guy he is talking about selling marked maps must be one of your buddies.

You spelled the word right, you just used the wrong one. It's more of a grammatical issue, kind of like the way you put a period at the end of the question above and failed to capitalize the "Y" in the word "you" to start the second sentence.

it's a hunting site though, so who cares really? Not me.

Andy

There must be a "place number here incher" club. If I change my handle to 50incher can I join?

It's Bush's fault!!!

Chute planes eh? Now I think I know which 30 incher has been posting. Didn't that guy get run out of here several years ago? So what's his beef with me??? Does he think I'm shooting my game with a chute plane? LMAO! To call me gutless out of the blue like that is kind of odd. I certainly haven't had any cyberfights on here for a damn long time. I do recall getting into it with the guy years ago, but so was everyone else on this board. To single me out years later as gutless, hmm, I don't get it.

Hornseeker,
I fully knew what I was shooting when I killed that billy this year. I've had 7 tags over the last 15 years and had yet to kill a goat. Easy tags to draw, not easy critters to kill. Came close a couple years ago when I missed a billy, but most years that I was drawn I barely even saw a goat. I figured I just needed to get one on the ground this year. I saw this billy all by himself at over a 1000 yards away. Here is a pic of him through the spotter.
Sept16034a.jpg

He was right where I saw a monster billy last year while we were hunting for my brother's goat. The young billy was all that was there. I figured if I could get up close on him, I would take him. Put the stalk on him and was able to sneak up to under 50 yards. Getting within bowrange on a goat and killing him all DIY solo, that is what made the hunt. It was way more about the hunt than the horns. I'm confident I'll draw numerous more goat tags in years to come and I can then focus on a bigger billy then. That being said, that young billy tastes amazing.

As for that webbed out buck, that is the buck I killed in 06. I had chased him for 5 years and the that chase finally came to an end on the last day of the season last year. I video'd him for numerous years and have several sets of his sheds. And no, I didn't use a chute plane. I killed him with good old fashioned leg work. :)

Here's some more pics from the 07 season. By far the best hunting season of my life. Was the first year my son was old enough to hunt with his own tags. We had a blast. It doesn't get any better than watching your kid kill his first deer. Then to watch him kill his 3 deer baglimit, it was awesome to say the least.

Here's a buck my 11 year old newphew, Russ, got on opening day of the youth season. His first day hunting deer in his life and he killed an absolute monster.

As for wolves, this is my only one thus far. Killed him in the fall of 04.

Awesome pics man..gutless is the only way..i learned the hardway when i was 15. Packed the bones and all out about 4 miles and will never do it again...Also packed the whole head out...also never again......easier to pack a little hacksaw for that and just cut the skull plate...thanks for sharing..Justin

Cool pics. Needed the fix.
The only problem I have with your post BC is "legendary moosie"!! Awww Cmon...puhleeeeeease! LOL

Its just a guess, but when your opinion accuses someone of something based on what you have heard, it likely is not an opinion any more. In the legal world its called hearsay, and it gets nuked there as well.

Cool...thanks Steve. I remember that buck now. And I dont blame you a bit on the goat!

LAST EDITED ON Dec-06-07 AT 09:07PM (MST)[p]Hey buckstopshere, you must be in with Pete and Repeat, thats just what I said or else we are playing the copy game. We used to do that in Kindergarten. Maybe you can check my spelling as well or even nuke whatever I say.

BCBOY, Looks to me as if your really living the dream. Awsome pic's in great looking country. Those of your young ones with their game truly touch a nerve as i wasn't blessed that way and have lived the life of a aging outdoor finatic at the end of a long line of fishermen and hunters.

i really hope correct spelling and grammer dosen't become a requirement from serious critique when posting. I've long thought that content of the messege was what counted and as long as that could be clearly understood, well, better to have spoken up then say nothing at all.

I have to wonder if there is a trophy wife included in your accumulations. Any chance you might post a family shot so i can really then truly be jelious of your life? Thanks,

Joey

Great photos BC!
You are indeed living the dream!
Personally, I'm not jealous ....just in awe!
KUDOS!

By the way,
I live in UT.
There are a lot of UTARDS that live here.
I have also seen quite a few WYOMORONS, NEVADUHNS, COLORADORKS, ID-IOTS and AIRHEADZONANS in my travels.

LAST EDITED ON Dec-09-07 AT 10:48AM (MST)[p]Soooo, why is it that Moderators need to justify their actions to anyone????? I can tell ya for a fact, that I won't be PMing every joeblow tom,#####,and harry to tell them the reasons why I deleted their post. I don't have the time or the effort. Some of you act like being a moderator is a paid position or something. LOL! I'll make this clear, as Founder and all the other mods have done so numerous times in the past, READ THE FORUM RULES!!!!! If your post breaks the rules, it runs the risk of being nuked. If it gets nuked LIVE WITH IT!!!! Questioning the mods as to why the first one was nuked just gets those new threads nuked as well. READ THE FORUM RULES!!!!!

It is funny the the guy that called me a Gutless Moderator, doesn't have the Guts to come onto this thread and justify why he felt the need to call me out? I would say that is GUTLESS don't ya think?

sageadvice,
I am truly blessed to have an amazing wife and two amazing kids. :) The outdoor lifestyle that we live is one I would not trade for the world.
Here is a family shot from this past summer when we did a weekend backpack trip to our family cabin that my wife's great grandfather built in the alpine some 65 years ago.
