Anyone been scouting for elk on the pauns this year? Been out a couple times to find not much and hear people are turning back tags. Anyone got any info on this unit this year? Thanks in advance

I helped a Muzzy tag last year. HARD HUNT. TAG SOUP. We didnt see crap. Ive been there other times and have seen them and been into them good. But last year was tuff and ugly. Hit Whitman Bench. Saw them there spotlighting at night. Saw them down on Glendale bench also. Just passed the turnoff to go north to the CWMU. They were there in the ledges ontop of those hills. Lots of sign and saw a few but couldnt make it happen. Good luck.
Spent the last 3 days down there and covered most of the unit, didn't see a branch antlered bull or many elk at all. My boy has the archery tag and is now wishing he would have turned it in and saved his points. Tough hunt, maybe it will get better the later it gets. Good luck!

Oh no. I am hunting this unit for elk Sept 13th! This is not good news for me.
