Tuesday Nov 13 this deer was shot with a crossbow and found dying in an orchard. The C.O.'s were called and they put it down. This buck has had a history of hanging out around Penticton in the city area near Munson Mountain and was nicknamed the Munson Monarch. It was poached 3 days after the general season closed and 10 days before the bow season opened. It was also within the city limits of Penticton, which has a no hunting bylaw. The C.O.'s are going to have it mounted for their office. The guy in the picture is Barry Kilback, a local taxidermist.

I agree , very sad to see this beautiful deer hunted by low life scum out of a season let alone in town. I sure hope they catch who ever did the mess. What a massive monarch for certain...

kilback the taxidermist must be a stud. he looks to be in a wheel chair but has bloody jeans like he was on his knees caping this buck.

i think when well known bucks, pretty much in town get poached, the punishment should be extra harsh. poachers that work hard and put in some effort need to be punished, they are stealing from guys that will work hard and hunt within the rules. lazy poachers that kill bucks that are basically a town mascot should never, ever have hunting priveleges again. they are stealing from everyone.

What a shame. A true tragedy. I hope they catch that S.O.B.

What a shame. Freaking greedy poachers. No better than common petty thieves and child molesters!

What! poachers in Canada? Must of been an American and probally someone from Utah, right BCboy.

BTW, That sucks. It was a Beautiful buck.

That is one incredible buck!
Terrible that these things happen, but at least the poachers didnt get away with it this time. They were obviously gonna claim it a bow kill in the upcoming season....makes you wonder how much of this goes on.....

By the way,
I live in UT.
There are a lot of UTARDS that live here.
I have also seen quite a few WYOMORONS, NEVADUHNS, COLORADORKS, ID-IOTS and AIRHEADZONANS in my travels.
