This will be a long post as it has alot of hunting.
Started off in April with starting a bait site for bears but took off one week to go to northern Idaho to go turkey hunting with a friend in that neck of the woods. He put me up and hunted with me to help me get my turkey. Had a blast with turkey hunting with him and took a small jake this year with my bow. Got the hunt on video so that was even more awesome.

Next was my bear hunt. It was a blast also. I shot my bear and my son also got his. Got to see several bears messing around the bait site this year and that was to cool. They are pretty awesome to watch and video them. My sons hunt was awesome as he still is quite the marksman when it comes to his rifle. But here is both of our bears. Mine is a dink and still happy with it and my sons is a average bear. I enjoyed hunting with him and watching him more than I did when I got mine. He got so excited when his bear came in. Here are both of our bears.

Then came antelope season. I set up blinds and got ready for the season. My friend from northern Idaho came down and another friend from here went out with us. Opening morning me and John saw some goats come in but the bigger one hung back. We stayed in the blind till dark and got back to camp and found matt shot one first thing in the morning so he took his out and next morning we went back to the blind. John shot the bigger buck that came in. I have his pictures but can not find them. But here is a picture of Matts buck. I got mine the last day of season which made for a fun time. Also I got to shoot a coyote that was feeding on a gutpile with my bow. Here are several pics.

Also shot a muley early in the season back in Sept that me and Matt found and saw several times. Nasty day and we saw where they where bedding when it was nasty. Came in above him and shot him at 20 yds with my bow. Here is that picture.

Then came deer season and I had a friend that has never hunted deer before and I took him up and he bought a NR tag also and we filled both tags on opening day. They are not the biggest bucks but he sure got excited over taking the 2 different bucks. I only got 1 deer picture. The other is also a small buck. Here is his picture.

Next came my sons elk hunt. He drew a cow elk and had a long season coming up. I backed out of my elk hunt because of this and also my brother drew a bull tag hunt and wanted to be around to help pack if he needed me.
But anyways my son and I went up with the wife after elk for my son. saw elk every time up but just could not connect till the 3rd weekend up. He shot this cow at 322 yds with my 7 mm Mag. he hunts with a 243 but with that distance he opted to use my 7 mag. he asked if his rifle could hit them elk I told him no but mine would so he was all over that. He shot her and dropped her right down and she rolled down 250 yds to where we where. It was nice not having to climb up after her. Got to her and she had a radio collar on. That was an exciting hunt to be with him for his first elk hunt. Here are some pictures of us packing his elk. My son is 15 and weighs 86 pds. We got that whole cow out in one trip. We did have to leave her over night though. Came in in the morning. I boned out 1 quarter for my pack as there was a bag on my new 2nd pack frame. Both quarters would not fit inside the bag. So got quarter neck backstraps and any other meat I could cut off carcass in the bag.
Here are the pics.

Next was my brothers elk. Went up to help do some spotting. Well he worked his way up from the bottom and I was sitting in the picture to my brothers left up on the top of that ridge and saw this bull bed down in some quackies. My brother hiked all the way in from the bottom and came and snuck right into this bull. I got to watch the whole outcome of it. It was awesome. Then I went down and hauled in 2 pack frames and the work bagan. His is a 5x6. Here is his picture.

Next was my sons deer hunt. With him being a youth he got to hunt either sex. So it was the last couple days of season and my son said Dad anything hits the ground. Well thats exactly what he did when we found a group of doe's. He shot the biggest out of the group. He got all excited and that made the whole trip to me.
Here is his picture of him.

Then my last archery buck with my NR tag I had.Have video and stalked this buck several times and he suckered me. Missed out on a couple other bucks as well. Got video of some very good bucks.
But the day I got this one is I bumped them while coming in and they headed over into some rocky area's and I seen them drop into one ravine and knew where they where headed. Got ahead of them and got in a perfect spot and they fed threw where I was. But here is his picture. Long season for me this year but had a great time.

Just plain Awesome! I was wondered when we would see you with another nice late season archery buck. What a year, you got a little bit of everything, first times for your buddy and your boy, hunting with family, plenty of meat, and a trophy or two thrown in. Thanks for posing and congratulations on an amazing year.

I was beginning to wonder where you have been!
Now I know! Great year for sure, it gets better and better.

littlefoot,
not yet on the turkey. He wants to but and he will but has to show some more things for me to go to school to get him out of school for it. Would not take much to drive up get one and almost come right back. My friend has a good spot for them on his place.

You would get my vote for most accomplished hunter on this site. You continually take nice animals on public land (with a bow no less). And best of all, it looks like you include your
family. Great job.

Way to go Super! You had a dream season , loved reading it all and loved the pics as well.Congrats to you and your family and thanks for sharing it here with us....NM

woodruff,
not looking to think I am better or accomplished than others. I have the time and a sugar momma with a excellent job as well as myself being self employed. So please do not think that I think I am better. Just an average joe hunter with a little bit more time.
Thanks all for the read.

Well done. It's good to see you taking the time to teach your son and first timers how to hunt. Great pics and congrats on a fine season to all!

Sider,

I know you don't think you are "better". I realy enjoy seeing your posts each year. Sounds like you have the work schedule figured out ha ha. Great pic's!!

Supersider34, Congrats to you, your son and friends. Thanks for the stories and photos of your hunts.

Dude do you ever get skunked?! I have noticed over the years you shoot an awful lot of animals, mostly with a bow.
How about sharing some of the luck!!
Congrats on the SUCCESSFUL hunting season, especailly with the kids and thanks for sharing it!

cohntr,
Just persistent. I hunt alot. i have yet to kill a bear with my bow. I keep setting up for it but just not done that one yet. Working on it though. I do alot of scouting and it seems more and more every year. Now that my son started hunting I get to alot more.

Good year Supersider! By the way - everyone else (TripleK) says you should get a haircut. But I disagree. Keep it wild and free my friend! It is your trademark!
