Looking for a little help.... Im helping my 70 year old uncle on his last chance at a nice bull this year. Been up around strawberry in the areas I know and have hunted and its been pretty tough. Talking with a lot of archery guys and they agree. We haven't been able to turn up elk in the usual spots and with my uncle having limited walking abilities just wondering if anyone has any ideas on spots we can hunt. We don't need the biggest bull on the unit just looking to help him fill a dream of a nice bull and any help would be appreciated.......also anybody seeing much going on in the rut haven't seen a cow yet.... I was up there last wed. and heard 4 or 5 bugles right before dark. I was hunting spike/cow and through out a couple cow calls calling in a decent 6x6 with a couple cows. The rut has started or getting close. I was 100 yards off a dirt road too. Good Luck!
