Idaho units 66a and 76

I drew the controlled elk tag for these units. The hunt starts October 15 and i was wondering what caliber bulls are in these units and how the overall numbers are. Which unit would be better to hunt? Anyone have pics from previous hunts in there? Also, are there many bears in those units? Feel free to pm me

I wouldn't pass on a 300-320 class bull. Herd numbers are down IMO. Over 700 cow tag permits still. We used to have 200 elk in our fields, now usually less than 50. An occassional good bull 330-350 type, Rare however. Good luck.

Agree with previous post. 300 would be a no brainer in these units. There are damn few bigger. There are bears around, rarely see them.
