I know this is a long shot, but I am wanting to try my luck on the extended archery for elk. I hunted the extended for the first time last year with no success. I am not asking for anyones honey hole, but would not pass it up. If anyone would like to help me out that would be great a maybe able to return the favor with some waterfowl honey holes public and private. I will be going out next wed tell Thursday. if some one wants to go I enjoy meeting someone with the same passion. I am will to hike I actually prefer getting away from the roads. if not I understand. also time of the year to hunt the extended unit would be a great benefit as well. thanks

well- it's always a long shot on finding more critters than hunters on the extended, but PM me and i can give you a place to take a look. although, i will tell you that i have no REAL WORLD, SUCCESS stories or places. just a spot or two that hold elk all year, depending on the day. The down side is, no matter who tells you advice, it will always require a real long walk in the dark one way or another. or a strong back and a warm sleeping bag. give me a shout. i am trying it myself this year after a long absence. I consider it an opportunity to be out and get some excercise, along with a nice donation to the DWR.
