it seems like over the last few years ive spent too many hours on top of a mountain over analyzing bulls to the point its no fun and its all about inches. well this year here in nm the bulls were on fire and the public pressure was so bad that the bulls never came out of the thickets. even at night they stayed holed up in the nasty stuff. water was abundant so they had no need to travel for anything. well i finally decided to abandon my lofty perch and chase bugles and see what would pop up. i chased bugles for 3 days on failed stalk after stalk. finally on sept 22 conditions were just right. i had been shadowing a deep growling sounding bull for over 2 hours. even though i had over 20 bulls around me and i had been within 50 yards of this bull for over an hour i had yet to see him or any other bull. i had hunted the spot, analyze, and stalk method so long that i wanted to experience the adrenaline of chasing bugling bulls and shooting whatever got my blood pressure up. well the bull i was chasing finally showed himself at 40 yards and all i could see was a 6x8 frame with great swords. i didnt know what his bottoms, beams or width looked like and i didnt care. i was caught up in the moment of the adrenaline rush and i took the only narrow gap shot i had at 40 yards. 30 seconds later he was down and out. this 305" bull is the best bull ive shot to date and the most memorable elk hunt ive done yet.

who knew a 305" bull could have two 58" beams 47" inside spread and 24" swords. btw. thats 305" on the monster muley scoring system. ive noticed how well u guys judge size on here. am i close with 305 mm inches???
 
Great bull. Who cares about the score, that is a monster. Monster muley score 350-360. I would guess 395 gross. Congrats!
 
Amazing bull. I noticed the same thing this year in Utah about the bulls staying in the thick stuff. Great Job!
 
Nice work! Hellava bull even if it is only a 300 class bull......

Good thing it had those extra points to get it out of the 290's
 
I'm a little confused on your score conversation. So you actually scored him at 305? Or was that a joke? He looks bigger to me, I just shot one here in AZ a few weeks ago that was 316, and yours looks longer and is apparently wider than mine... or maybe the apparent size differences are just all in the picture angles, idk.

light someone up???? wtf, ive been gone for years. i figured the stinkystomper storm was over. i figured everyone forgot about me. u have any idea how many times i was in utah and someone would see me and yell "r u stinky stomper?" then theyd wanna kick my ass!

for those of u who dont know me i was making fun of these so called scoring experts. its really annoying seeing guys post up obvious 380+++ toads and everyone calls it a 330 bull. ive always said theres two scoring systems. b&c and mm. a 440" b&c bull is the same as a 330" MM bull. basically 330 is the biggest a mm'er will score the biggest bull usually. it stems from a mass amount of ignorance (usualy from utah inbreeding), a touch of arm chair hunterism and a crap load of jealousy. combine all that together and u have the mm scoring system where bulls are usually never big. however in the last two years there appear to be less morons on here and more good ol boy hunters who just like to see dead $hit! so for those of u who just like to see dead $hit the official b&c score is 391 which translates to an mm score of around 305. the inline 6th n 7th add another 5" putting him at 396 but i dont think the 3" and 2" inline should be counted. i call that milking the score to make it sound bigger than it is.

Let us know if your still juicing an how the hell you've been. I've always enjoyed your humor. It's funny an is generally spot on. You need to frequent this site more so you can get back to whizzing on the poor folk. It really pithes them off an makes me laugh my ass off. Kudos on the NM bull.

i say +100 for a monday kill!!! +50 for jackin around and not driving back till tuesday and +25 for celebrating with a diet breaking celebration enchilada today with elk steak, salad n malibu n come tonight.

no im not on juice. i had to quit. combine a single rich guy with all those muscles n raw sexiness and i just got to the point i couldnt handle all that female attention. plus i was reppin 480 on bench. most gyms dont have that many plates laying around so i kicked the juice so i could work out with the normal people.

god i hope someone doesnt get on here n think im for real but then again some basinite or vernal freak is gonna log on and use his 3rd grade brain to read this and within 1" minutes bohntr is gonna start hatin on me again. is that hater still here?
 
Great NM bull. I must say I have seen a lot more quality B&C 350+ bulls in NM this year compared to previous years, and that bull is no exception. Stud bull man.
 
Hey Stomper, that is an awesome bull. Congrats!

I like the attitude you took with him. I really do believe score is over rated and too many people get caught up in it and generally it ruins their hunt.

Hunt till you find something you like and kill it!

half the guys on mm either call me designer jean hunter or the tennis shoe hunter. camo does nothing to help. doesnt hide scent n doesnt break up ur sillouhette. the only camo ive ever used that truly hides u and breaks up ur silouhette and hides 100% of ur scent is a full on gillie suit. ive walked right up to hundreds of bulls in the rut. the cows have no clue what to make of that and apparently if u hang urs in a tree in the forest for 2 months before the hunt n cover it n cow elk urine u can get within 5 feet of a cow and she cant smell u. that honestly not a joke either. but other than a gillie suit i never use camo. this trip it was raining non stop and rain lturns a gillie suit into a 100lb soaking mess in no time flat

well mike........... if u must know i hit him in the middle of the guts and the 250 gr scenar exited in 3 different holes in the middle of the off side front shoulder. his boiler house was toast. but im sure it was the lack of guts that killed him. it just sucks that im the only one that knows that the guts are the actual boiler house.

i woulda shot him again at close range but i couldnt see him after the shot. he kinda turned toward me and it looked like a quad could drive through his horns. i was a little shocked to say the least

Wait a minute , no camo ? tennis shoes ? using Lapua match bullets to gut shoot 305" bulls ? Im going to have to re-evaluate my current tactics . . .
 
Good to know your see your still swinging for the bleachers. I think most ATVs could drive through those beams. That one's another bone-fied beast. Congratulations!

Huge bull. Even if you count inches on future hunts, that will be a hard one to top. Congrats and thanks for sharing.
 
yeah i gotta agree his 6th n 7th was weak. it was darn near a deal breaker.

eel. i lost so much in that divorce that its gonna take me years to fill the holes...... oh wait. i had to sell the house to. i live in a 900 sq/ft apartment and all my animals are at my office and yard south of town. so i guess i dont have room now that i dont have a house. hey but on the bright side the ex couldnt touch my race horses. im taking rebranded this weekend to run in the grade III oklahoma derby. wish me luck eel.

maybe one day i'll have a house but right now its fun not having a yard to mow or a house to clean. its awesome dude!
 
since no one got all dumba$$ on the score i will post the measurements and maybe some people on here will see it and have a little bit better idea how to judge.


left g1-13" g2-19.5" g3-13.5" g4-24" g5-14" beam 57.5"
right g1-15.5" g2-18.75" g3-11" g4-23.25" g5-15" g6-3" g7-2" beam 58.25". actually the g7 is 0". i busted it off backing in to the garage so now it dont count lol.
inside spread between the swords is 47" exact and the total mass is 60.5".

thats 391. add in the 5" for g6 & g7 n u get 395.75 exactly. i measured and rounded one measurement up to the nearest quarter inch and the next down to the nearest quarter inch to keep things even. so the scores not dead nuts exact but for gods sake its close enough. i dont care about score that much. score is more like a side hobby.

ppl keep measuring the bull n telling me i was short measuring his g1. then i was offf on his spread that i should measure the ends of his beam instead of insode his swords etc. so at that point i was going off the taxi score and now i dont care. add in his g extras and call him 395 and say the heck with whether hes 391 or 398. its a big a$$ bull and i had the most amazing hunt and i wasnt out shooting a monster. i shot something that got me wxcited and he just happend to be a monster. thats about all i know
 
Hey Stinky- you did pretty good for a NM oil field trash road hunter. I'm happy for you. That dude is super wide and I'm VERY happy to hear you broke off his tine as it will match the other one in your office that I broke off for you.
Also I told the guy that took the picture of you and the 305" bull it will be the 2nd largest bull he takes a picture of this year. hahaha congrats

u go right ahead and find a better bull in another general season area.

Awesome bull Tony, that bull I was telling you and your friend about a couple years ago had an overall frame and shape like this guy, only difference was his fronts were all over 20"s and his 3rds were bigger.

I herd he may have taken an arrow last year but was never found.
