I am thinking of possibly cashing in my points and trying to draw a tag in Colorado this year. I was looking on the Colorado website, but cannot find any info on points needed for draw areas, is there a magazine or website that has this info. Also do any of you know of a good unit to apply for with 5 points as a non resident? I hunt with a muzz and with rifle. I would be looking for a 180 class buck (isn't everyone). I was looking at some of the early rifle hunts in Aug and early Sept. Anyone hunted them? Would they be worth the points? Any info would be great I'd be coming from Utah. Feel free to p.m. if you'd prefer.
Thanks,
Dave

The website posted above is a good reference. The same statistics are posted in the DOWs magazine,"Colorado Outdoors" in one of the spring editions.

Hey thanks guys I had looked at that link before but never scrolled down and looked at the Recap portion. Thats the info I was looking for. Thanks for the help.

If you think you're in good enough shape do a high country buck tag. You can draw alot of areas with 2-5 points and tons of big bucks have been coming out of the high country. My neighbor drew for unit 471 with 2 points and shot a nice 180n class buck.
