Guys, the deer up north are in urgent need of our help. The snow is just way too deep now, forcing too many deer into small areas. I checked 4 spots today, there were at least 400 deer in these small areas, and what feed was available to them is now gone. This next month is really going to knock the $hit out of them. It is unacceptable and sickening that there is not a massive effort under way to help these majestic creatures out. We?re feeding as many deer as we can, but every mule deer hunter should be seriously concerned! The DWR is not doing anything yet. It is time to call the DWR and urge them to START FEEDING NOW!!!

I just heard that the DWR is implimenting a feeding program for Cache, Box Elder, and Ogden areas ASAP.

I also heard that SFW PAID FOR ALL OF THE FEED!!!

Way to go SFW! We appreciate helping the general season deer herds.

Where exactly do they get the feed? Can anyone go and buy it? There are many places the DWR is not even concerned with that really need it. My family owns a lot of land in central Utah and we have about 200 deer wintering on it. I have already found nine dead deer that is more than i have found in the previous four winters. I have contacted the state about it and they told me we were not in an area of concern yet.

Im glad the DWR is starting a feeding program, but unfortunately I think it will be too little too late. The damage has been done and is being done right now. The DWR shouldve started the feeding a while ago.

Guys,

Saturday morning Feb. 2 at the DWR office in Ogden at 10 a.m. to schedule the feeding programs throughout northern Utah - Cache, Morgan, Kamas, Heber valley etc.

the dwr has been daily monitoring fat content from road kills, most deer are still in good shape - enough they can survive with some feeding.

tell everyone you know to be there, and help. It will be a daily feeding effort probably for a month

if you have questions, repond to this email and we will keep you posted.

I live in cache valley and I would be more than happy to feed every day if the DWR can get me the feed. I also know a dozen or so guys that would be willing to help at the drop of a hat, so let me know what I can do to help. My email is [email protected]

Stay after it guys, I'm a NR and can't be there to help but I'll donate if DWR gets something going like Colorado has. anyone serious about hunting should make this their top priority, we know it's going to be bad but lets do the best we can to avoid disaster.
