I've applied for the bull elk hunt on ensign ranches this year and am looking for any info from people that hunted bulls there before. I did have a good experience there before on a cow elk hunt, but didnt see many bigger bulls. Are the bulls average, or up to at least 320-340? Experience with guides? Any information or pics help

So you applied without talking to the outfitter? Why would you do that? Why not call ask them these questions? Just curious:). I'm sure there will be some guys that have hunted it or know a buddy of a buddy that hunted it. I'd start by checking out westerlands hunting web page for pics. In looking at some of t hose pics, I wouldn't say they average 320-340, I would guess more like 300-320. I think top end would be 340 on most years but something you could certainly ask Travis. I do believe they will work with ya to be successful, but you might have your expectations set a bit too high, but that's just one mans opinion.

From what I have been told from a buddy that guides on deseret, Ensign's bulls average as stated above, 300 to 320.

Most of the big bulls they kill on the ranch are killed a month before you will be hunting. To kill a top end bull will be very very tough with the dates they give. If you see a 300-320 bull I would probably be shooting.

My friend had the tag in 2012 and shot a nice bull. Went about 310 and he said it was about the biggest they saw. Had a fun hunt and he enjoyed himself. All about your expectations.
