Wyoming unit 23

Some good friends of mine drew this tag and I was hoping to get them some help.

They have hunted many units Wyoming, Colorado, Idaho ,Utah, Oregon and Nevada and do very well. They would be willing to point someone in the right direction on the hunts they have knowledge of for info on this hunt.

They are not members but have gotten help through me here for a CO elk hunt so they asked for my help.

Some things came up so they won't be able to make it over to scout.

Pikemasterflex from CO was who helped them and I am sure he will vouch for the fact they hunt hard and don't expect any gifts and are willing to help you out.

That's very helpful info Martin! Thank you! I'm looking over topo maps now and see the spots you mentioned.I'm stepping foot in unit for the first time the end of sept so every bit of info is huge to me.thank you for getting back to me.

Some good bulls in that unit. Not a good hunt for a public land guy. I hunted it a few years ago during archery season. Had a chance at a real nice bull literally on the border of public and private ended up taking a small 6. I would not rife hunt it. The very few archery guys in there(5 that I know of for the season) had all the elk going back and forth onto private land. I can

I was in the area 23 shed hunting today I found 4, and seen about 300 head of elk in snider basin where most of the elk go during hunting season.
This is the link to the outfitter for the diamond ring livestock company. I have never hunter this unit but I know than once the elk are pressured into snider it's a hit and miss game on when they leave. The best chances if say are to hunt with this outfitter and take your pick of the bulls.
