after all of the harsh winter concerns i took a ride to check on the area i hunt. the deer/elk are doing just fine.saw some real bruisers for the area but was not going to sneek into my cheap cameras range.i thought i should let them be during this crucial time.there was only about 8" on the ground with drifts up to 2 1/2' this was on the north facing slopes.this young 4 pt. might be a shooter next year.he's only about 22" now,but the headgear should fall off soon.

nice pics glad to see they are doing well hopefully with the feeding and all the volunter efforts they will pull through with minimal winter kills

LAST EDITED ON Feb-08-08 AT 03:02PM (MST)[p]personally i dont feel this area needs any feeding.there were fawns everywhere & looking good. i do hope other peoples hunting areas do well this winter.
