I was hoping you guys would post pics of bulls that went 265 or better. I'm trying to practice field judging and it would be nice to do so with bulls that we know what they score! Plus, who doesn't like looking at pics of big elk! Thanks.

A 6x with width slightly wider than his body and the back forks thumb to index/middle finger in length you'll be good.

Thats a good point for judging P&Y min but should i get to hunt as many days as i'm hoping to, I'll be potentially trying to tell the difference between a 300, 330 or 350 bull! That's why I'm hoping to see a variety here to see various examples of bulls ranging from 265 and up.

This is a 290 bull. The 3rd's are too short as are the back forks, to make 300. You'll know 320 if you have time to get a good look.

Thanks Wapiti. I'd be happy with that Bull for sure! I think my overall goal will be a P&Y bull with the bar set to try and kill one that's 300+. I'm just gonna do my best to not pass a good bull in hopes of killing a great one when I've never killed an elk. It's just hard when I know what potential the unit has on the high end.

This first bull is one I killed in 2009 and he scored right around 315":

This second bull was killed by my dad last year and gross scored 343" (longer main beams, better back end tine length, more mass):

This is the only bull I have to share where I know a relative score. Somewhere between 360-370.

A couple more for fun.

This bull was harvested by a MM guy. I think he said 315?

LAST EDITED ON May-09-15 AT 06:19AM (MST)[p]Come to AZ. You won't look just have to shoot. They are all big........BULLL

Here is my Wyoming bull from last year. He scored 307. Has great fronts, 15 and 16 inches, but small all after that. My 1st archery bull and I was tickled pink!!!
So, he has great front ends, but 3rds are small and the 5ths are small too. But I was happy with him!!! And thats all that matters!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Robiland! I would be stoked with that bull as my first. I really want to be patient on this hunt knowing the potential of the unit but the reality is that it's going to be very hard to pass anything that's 300 or better for my first bull.

Thanks Dan. That definitely helps compare the various sized bulls! Looks like you've had some great success out there!

Here is a bull my cousin killed a couple years ago, scored 332 gross.
