Southwest Desert Archery Elk

I drew a Southwest Desert Archery elk tag this year. Super excited! I've spent a little time out there. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to help me out with any information or point me in the right direction. Such a big unit and tons of area to cover. Any help would be great! Thanks Guys!

Sorry,
I don't have much info on the unit. A friend hunted it years ago. I think with the wildlife board decided to cut the elk populations in half because of the so called drought. Good luck.

Definitely a high number of tags. They should do something about the horse population instead!

I hunted elk there in 13 and know someone that hunted it last year. I've hunted deer there a few times also. I would like to help but new to this and I don't know how to PM. Any ideas?

The Unit is huge!!! there are elk just about anywhere you go out there. I hunted it last year on the early rifle hunt. The archery hunt is not a gimmie hunt so get out scout around and put some miles on your boots. Good luck!!

It is a huge unit! No doubt about that. Got some work ahead, that's for sure!! Thanks!!
