South Cache Elk Early Rifle - Any Help Appreciated

Good Gawd! Do you want us to hand feed you grapes too while you lay in your recliner being fanned by an Egyptian mistress!? This is the most pretentious request I've ever seen on here.

Wow! the use of a big word and obviously your mastery of the English language is beyond mine! But not here to debate that!

That being said, I thought forums were used to obtain knowledge and provide commentary for like minded people!

I don't expect someone to point out where there is a 380 bull hanging out! but as ForkWest claims I'm pretentious and I should do so and ask for GPS coordinates.

So to clear this up and make sure that I'm not being pompous or pretentious, looking for any information for the South Cache early rifle hunt! I will return the favor next year when someone asks! As this is a public forum and free you can supply information if you choose to do so!

Pappy,
I have also drew the Any Weapon early tag for South Cache. I will start scouting Friday. We could share information with each other. I will be the only gun in camp. I am well equiped with everything including horses. I have not hunted this unit before so I too am searching for someone that knows this unit very well. We have a better chance at finding 2 big bulls working as a team. What do you say?

The offer is open to a serious Elk hunter that has good experiance hunting Bulls.

I've seen some really good antler growth this year. Some really nice bulls for the South Cache. You should have a great hunt this year!!!

We would love to hear from you. We have started poking around watching different areas from afar. We will be covering some ground again this weekend. It is such a big unit. Pappy B or I would like to talk with you offline.

It is a heck of a unit. I have hunted it several times with friends and family. I drew the LE Muzzle Loader tag this year. That hunt begins immediately after yours. I am hearing good things about the herds there this year, as usual. I will also be assisting in the Early Season hunt as well. My cousin drew that tag and it will give me a chance to do some last minute scouting. The best thing I can say is put some miles on those horses and play around on google maps. If you are lucky the weather will move it and get them screaming a little earlier. Good luck!

Hello All,

Its getting really close now, I've heard of a lot of bulls being seen with cows and talking at night! I've seen a few but not much in the size wise! How's everyone else's search going?

They are starting to whistle a little now. The division has issued too many permits the last few year. Still lots of bull but smaller caliber. That being said. There are a few nice ones running around.

Hello All,

I thought I'd tell you how the hunt went! Although I didn't harvest a bull (my own fault) I saw plenty of bulls and would gladly tell anyone who draws what direction to go!

Thanks for all your help!

Pappy B
