Got a letter from the taxi, cape is ready, call him about pose.
I have no idea where I'm going to put it other than it will be likely under a standard 8 ft ceiling. Very possibly to be moved to a larger 10 ft or vaulted ceiling a few years down the road.
I'm thinking the most versatile pose would be straight forward, alert.
This will be my only mounted mammal (for now). What would you do, what do you think is the best all around, put it anywhere pose for a 160 class Muley ?

I would go with a semi sneak turned either left or right.

Straight mounts are butt ugly!

When I ask the taxidermist for his recomendations, he said "what ever you want". When I ask his opinion of the "Simi Sneak" position you could hear in his voice that he liked it. By the time we talked about tweeking the ears to listen in different direction, he was sounding like he was excited to do my mount. That's what I want, a taxidermist who is excited about mounting my deer.
