my wife, little boy and i are getting alot closer to a move to ne montana this spring. Was wondering about some hints or tips on places to start scouting for mulies.. dont need anyones secret spots,, just some areas that hold game i can get to on our mules,,,, can trade some good info ( been good to me ) for idaho elk and deer, thanks ahead of time.......

Find river breaks/bad lands type terrain and you'll find mule deer. It's about that simple. If there's water, cultivated fields of grain or alfalfa near rough breaks country you will find mule deer. Where in northeast Montana are you looking to relocate?

You better get moved fast if you want to meet the residency requirements for the general big game. mtmuley

I live in NE Montana. Where you planning on moving to? I now of a few Honey Holes that are good producers every year. I also have access to a lot of private groung around mine.

Get a copy of last years Block Management Areas from the Fish, Wildlife and Parks Dept. Most likely there wont be too many changes this next fall. In N.E. Montana you will have littel problem finding good bucks to hand your "A" tag on. You are just gonna have to spend a little time pondering over maps. Dont overlook BLM and State land as well. Lots of it out there in that part of the state.

Good Luck!
