NM Areas

Uncle Sam has planted me in New Mexico for the next couple of years and I am looking forward to my first Muley season here! However, I am not familiar with the area and everywhere you look online gets the same ole "Unit 2B". Anyone had any luck elsewhere? More specifically the Gila area? I have limited free time so any help narrowing down my scouting would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for your time!

Every unit in the whole state has deer. I would pick an area nearby with good odds of drawing - then go for it. Put your time in scouting - since it is close. There ya go.

In the gila you might consider Unit 24, Burro Mts, and Unit 16

If your stationed in alamo you might look at 34 or 30.

Other than the 2's I don't really think there is a hotspot but big bucks can come from anywhere..
